Next team ride, Sat 6/28; Volunteering

Looks like we have too much fun in Chester County. We'll meet at 8.30am on Saturday morning at the Wawa in Malvern (King Road). This week we are targeting the beautiful backroads of Chester Springs.

Volunteers, needed!

The Iron Hill Twilight Criterium will take place on: Saturday, July 5, 2008

The West Chester Bike Club needs you. Please don't schedule any Weddings, Birthdays, Births, Deaths, Funerals, Appendix Operations, Company Picnics, Hair dressing appointments or any other silly mandatory social obligations for this date. The 2007 Criterium was a great success and you can help making the 2008 version even better.

They are still in need of about 120 volunteers. You can go to the On-Line Volunteer Form link listed below to Volunteer.

The Iron Hill Twilight Criterium getst bigger every year. It is part of a Ten (10) race series with the finals in Las Vegas. The West Chester race is considered one of the premier races of the series. You should want to be a part of this outstanding community event.

The 2008 Volunteer Form is available on-line @:

The crown jewel and final leg of the 2008 Commerce Bank Triple Crown of Cycling is the Philadelphia International Championship on June 8. More than 200 of the world’s top male professional cyclists descend upon the city of Philadelphia to race in the longest running and most important single-day cycling road race in the United States. The cyclists will complete 10 laps of a 14.4-mile circuit through Philadelphia. They will finish with three laps of Lemon Hill and Logan Circle, having logged 156 miles total in one of the biggest special sporting events in the country.
The day also includes the Commerce Bank Liberty Classic with more than 100 professional, international women cyclists competing. The 57.6-mile race consists of four laps of a 14.4-mile circuit through Philadelphia with four steep climbs up the grueling Manayunk Wall. The Liberty Classic is the final leg of the 2008 Commerce Bank Triple Crown of Cycling for women and is held during the men’s International Championship on the same course.
