Spring is finally coming to PA!
For the first time this year I participated in the Thursday night Criterium in Great Valley Corporate Center on 4/4 - what a great workout.
Our next rides:
Saturday 4/6: we'll meet at 8.30 in Malvern at the King St Wawa with an easy 15 mile option or 2 loops at 30 miles.
Saturday 4/13: we'll meet at 8.30 in Malvern at the King St Wawa
Saturday 4/20: Group ride 8am Malvern King St Wawa

The ordering process is very simple. Here are the steps:

· Select the items you wish to purchase and add them to your cart. A sizing chart is provided.
· Checkout and provide your credit card information.
· Provide your local SAP office as the ship-to location.

2013 Team Jersey update
Fellow riders,
After we have been riding as Team SAP wearing the same signature team jersey for the last four years our colleagues in California are working on a new jersey design that we'd like to share with you.
These design have not been ordered yet. We expect the new design to be ready in early 2013.
We will share more information about the order process on this website. Please check back in soon.

2012 City To Shore Recap
The 2012 MS150 City To Shore is history.
What a fantastic event this was! More than 7,000 riders participated and raised almost $5 Million to help finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.
Congratulations to all of the Team SAP riders and thanks for making the 2012 event a complete success!

Well, if you are having doubts about riding 75 miles, you might want to read about Lan Yin Tsai, aka. Eiko. She is now 88 years young and has been riding the MS City to Shore Ride for the past 31 years. In heels!

Come join our prep ride on Sunday morning (9/23, 8:30am) along the Schuylkill river.
Coffee and donuts will be waiting for you at the Betzwood parking lot (Trooper exit on Rt 422 north). We'll also have a bike mechanic on duty who will take care of minor technical issues, if needed.

Countdown to 2012 City To Shore!
Dear cycling enthusiasts!
Here a quick update on our upcoming MS 150 ride.
Our team is currently 17 strong. We tried to reach out to all team members via email. Unfortunately we don't have complete contact information for some fellow Team SAP riders.
What’s the plan for the morning of the MS 150 ride?
· Leave western Main Line area around 4:30am, individually or car pooling (details to follow later)
· Meeting in Woodcrest, NJ around 5:30am, for team picture etc.
· Leaving Woodcrest around 6:15am
· Plan is to ride as one team for the entire ride, wherever possible
Don’t forget to bring a signed waiver if you haven’t sent it in/faxed already!
And yes, we are planning a few more training rides (weather permitting, as always):
· this coming weekend on Sunday 16, at 8:30am in Malvern at the King Street WaWa parking lot,
· and on Sunday, Sep. 23 at 8:30am. This will be a Schuylkill River Trail ride, we’ll meet at the usual Betzwood parking lot (Corporate Parking Lot, S Trooper Rd exit off of Rt 422 north). We'll also have coffee, donuts, bike tools and a mechanic on duty to 'pimp your ride' in time for the MS 150.

New Pennsylvania Traffic Law: 4-foot Safety Cushion for Cyclists
A law that sets new rules for Pennsylvania motorists to follow when encountering a bicyclist will take effect at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, April 2. The law, designed to improve safety and traffic flow, was signed by Governor Tom Corbett on Feb. 2.
The new law requires motorists to leave a 4-foot "cushion of safety" when passing a bicyclist. To achieve this cushion, drivers may cross a roadway's center line when passing a bicycle on the left, but only when opposing traffic allows. Drivers attempting to turn left must also yield the right of way to bicycle riders traveling in the opposite direction.
"The differential in speed is the biggest safety challenge with motor vehicles and bicycles sharing our state's roadways," said PennDOT Secretary Barry J. Schoch.
"I urge all drivers and cyclists to learn the rules of the road to better share our highways and make travel safer for all." The new law also calls for bicycle riders to use all reasonable efforts to avoid impeding the normal flow of traffic. When there is only one travel lane, bicyclists may use any portion of the lane to avoid hazards on the roadway, including maintaining a safe distance from stopped and parked cars. As always, bicyclists and motorists should obey all traffic signs and signals.
PennDOT also recommends bicyclists always ride predictably and signal their intentions before proceeding so that motorists have a chance to react. For more information on bicycling safety, visit http://www.drivesafepa.org/.
